Last August (2023) after we finished guiding our group on a trip to Mozambique, we continued for 4 more days at a nature conservation and research diving center, which belongs to MMF(Marine Megafauna Foundation) in a tiny town called Zavora.
We didn't know exactly what would be there, but it was clear that filming and documenting the experience would be interesting. The idea to create a short documentary film was born out of a desire to tell stories about the world of nature conservation. When we returned home I didn't touch the materials for a long time, both because of the depression surrounding the war and because I wasn't sure that it was really possible to create a film that would be exciting and meaningful in only 3 days of shooting that were done completely spontaneously, without prior assessments, writing a script, etc.
Eventually, I found the rhythm for this craft and decided it was better to work with the available materials and not wait for next year to get more content for something bigger. The editing process took several months and was challenging, developing and also satisfying 😊
